This series I best relate to as early works because it covers the period of my last year as an art student in New York and some years that followed. It was a time when I was developing originality. I started using very textured pressed-leaf paper as surface, and later I continued to recreate that surface from wallpaper cutouts glued to fabric and heavy duty paper. Textured surfaces inspired me to explore mixed media techniques. And organic forms started to emerge.
